Beneficiary Selection for Emergency Food Assistance in Panjshir Province
The Afghan Youth Empowerment Organization (AYEO) has successfully completed the beneficiary identification and selection process for its emergency food assistance project in Panjshir Province. The process was conducted in close coordination with community elders and local representatives to ensure transparency, fairness, and adherence to humanitarian targeting standards.
The assessment covered eight districts of the province: Rukha, Bazarak, Shotul, Anaba, Darah, Khenj, Abshar, and Parian. Following the assessment, highly vulnerable households were identified and selected as the final beneficiaries.
Priority was given to female-headed households, widows, persons with disabilities, orphaned children, and families without sustainable sources of income, who represent the most vulnerable groups in the targeted communities.
Each selected household will receive a food assistance package consisting of wheat flour, rice, cooking oil, beans, tea, and sugar to help meet immediate food needs. Distribution will take place in the next phase of the project.
AYEO remains committed to delivering timely, needs-based humanitarian assistance and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities through transparent, community-based approaches.
